Eliot Lipp - I W☆nted 2 Be ☆ Rock & Roll St☆r

Some new stuff from Eliot Lipp, whom I actually only know from "The Outsider" album.
However, "I W☆nted 2 Be ☆ Rock & Roll St☆r" of a possible forthcoming album sounds quite promising (besides being a nuisance to type into your computer).

Nicolas Jaar - And I Say (feat. Scout LaRue and Will Epstein)

Hm...let us stick to electronic music just a while longer.
Nicolas Jaar's latest offering is a collaboration with Scout LaRue (for the people who are into celebrities also known as Bruce Willis' and Demi Moore's daughter) and Will Epstein. This is a typical Nicolas Jaar sound garnished with a slightly mysterious vocal line and a matching saxophone line. He never fails to disappoint...

Jacques Greene - Arrow (feat. Koreless)

Talking about electronic music once again, Koreless is a producer, who will hopefully release lots of new tracks in 2012. Somewhat like a newcomer last year, he got our attention with tracks like "Up Down Up Down" or "4D".
On "Arrow" he is working, yet for a second time, together with the Canadian Jacques Greene. The result is a captivating soundscape, where even 9 minutes seem way too short.

Poetree - Harlem

Poetree released another excellent album called "Inner Orchestra" via bandcamp and - again - you can download it for free!
Expect funky and jazz-induced instrumentals, such as this little gem, which is just perfect for the late hours:

The Qiwu Selftet - Ghost Track

This is definitely one of those artist, I want to hear way more stuff from. In 2011 the Frenchman released "Travelling Arrière", which is a wonderful instrumental album full of interesting Jazz samples. We actually played one song of it the other day in our radio show.

Renegades of Jazz - Black Milk

Oh, just so nice...

Lee Fields - You're the Kind of Girl

One of my favorite Soul singer is going to be back with a new album. Lee Fields will release "Faithful Man" on March 12th. He will, once again, make everyone happy, who is looking for more in a voice than what your usual pop singer delivers these days.

Since March 12th is still quite far away, you already get "You're the Kind of Girl" as a download now.

Bonobo - Brace Brace

It seems to me, that Japan definitely gets overprivileged when it comes to music. First of all, their vinyl pressings are undoubtely of the best quality and second of all how often did I have to hear, that this or that bonus track was only on the Japanese release?
Well, fortunately one can help oneself with the usual streaming services, if one is not willing to spend a fortune on shipping costs and the more elevated prices for the Japanese releases. However, all of this just helps temporarily, so I am pretty glad, that Ninja Tune decided to put "Brace Brace" on Bonobo's forthcoming (13.02) "Black Sands Remixed" record, which will also be available here in Europe. Usually I am not a big fan of "... Remixed" records, but these previews might change my mind.

By the way, for anyone who is in Warsaw on February 10th, so is Bonobo - at Fabryka Trzciny.

Willie Hutch - Easy Does It (Soul Glo Re-Edit)

Wonderful Re-Edit of Willie Hutch's "Easy Does It" by Berlin based Soul Glo. Big up to Souldiction to include it into one of their mixes, which are always full of nice surprises.

Gotye - Game of Thrones (feat. Dice Raw)

If you like the current number one of our Hochschulradio Aachen charts, but would like to have a little more Hip-Hop than Indie, you might like this, as well.
Dice Raw, for many people maybe known from his collaborations with the Roots, drops some fresh lines on a puristic guitar/xylophone "beat". How often do you hear that?
